An excellent large property in a lovely location The Raines, Lancashire Review Submitted: May 16, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009 We booked Brackenedge on very short notice, after we were let down by another property owner, but had a lovely stay. We were a large party(six adults and three children), but at no point did we feel crowded or uncomfortable.
The railway station, from which you can get to Whitby, is just ashort walk away and the National Moors Centre is well worth a visit.
You take your chances with the weather in this part of the world,but the real fire makes this house a warm sanctuary on cold or wetevenings.

It's hard to believe when looking at thepictures on the website but out party consisted of 6 adults and 6children and at NO time did I feel as though we were on top of eachother. All of the rooms are really spacious and the Garden was greatfor the both kids activities and adult relaxation, not at the same timethough.
The property was really clean and well maintained, the facilitieswere excellent with large plasma TV's in all communal rooms. I wouldhave no hesitation recommending this property to either families withyoung children or groups of adults. My party had a really good time andwill be looking to book again for next year.

It is absolutely huge! so much space, made it very easy staying with othercouples & their children. All very clean, nice linen etc., fullcountry experience staying there with the fires and everything. Villages lovely, good pubs, and lots to do in local area. Whitby and Saltburnboth very nice and easy to drive there for the day. Would definitelyrecommend this cottage.
